Flashback Fridays
Each week we will post an old photo of JPDS-NC students and/or parents on our Facebook page. Make sure to share the fun with family and friends by tagging yourself and others in the photos.

See this week's Flashback Friday photo!

JPDS-NC Community Events
Come join past and current school families at these fun and exciting community events.

People of the Book Series - Wednesday, December 14, 2011
Our own Stuart Levey, JPDS-NC parent and former Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence at the Treasury Department, has been described as President Obama’s ‘enforcer’ against Iran, and as the top U.S. official in charge of financial sanctions against Iran and North Korea. He will reflect on his time serving in both the Bush and Obama administrations, with JPDS-NC parent and veteran Washington Post journalist Debbi Wilgoren. These events provide the forum for occasional gatherings designed to bring people together to learn from and with the talented authors, scholars, policymakers and artists that are part of our JPDS-NC community. RSVP today!

Purim Ball and Auction Gala - March 11, 2012
This has been a venerable JPDS-NC tradition for many years. It is a time for our community to join together and celebrate the school and to honor individuals who support us or who serve as leaders in our the community. More information about this year's Purim Ball will be posted in January 2012. (Alumni student ticket price is reduced!)

Annual Yitzhak Rabin Memorial Lecture
This year's lecturer was Admiral Mike Mullen, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Admiral Mullen joined The New York Times columnist and JPDS-NC alumni parent David Brooks in an in-depth look at the role of the armed forces as a moral, cultural and humanitarian force, and shared his vision and insights on the leadership and security challenges in an ever-changing world. Close to 500 people attended the lecture this year.

Alumni Reunions and Professional Opportunities

JPDS Alumni ages 18+
We'll be having an alumni gathering in the beginning of January. More details to come!

JPDS Alumni ages 13-17
Our annual End of Year Bash is awaiting you in June, but you don't have to wait that long to see your friends. Send us an email and we'll help organize a gathering for you... on us!

Networking, Internships and Community Service
Alumni and current JPDS-NC parents are members of a wide range of professions and are eager to share their knowledge and dole out advice (and maybe even an opportunity or two). Join us for a networking brunch (date TBD) for our alumni in college and beyond.

If you're looking for an internship in the Development field, JPDS-NC's Office of Institutional Advancement should be your first stop! Contact Adina Kanefield for more information.

Are you a high school student who needs to complete community service hours? Contact Josh Suchoff to find out about volunteering at JPDS-NC.

Jewish Learning

Adult Torah Study Class
Come and learn Torah with our Director of Hebrew and Judaic Studies, Sharon Freundel. This class takes place throughout the school year.

Stay tuned for more Jewish learning opportunities!

*For each step taken by an alumni parent or student, a generous donor will contribute $18 to JPDS-NC.
