JPDS-NC's First Ever People of the Book Series Event is a Huge Success!

Our own ABC News correspondent John Donvan and Washington Post reporter and author Laura Blumenfeld kept us spellbound on February 10th with an intimate interview exploring Laura’s quest for revenge against the Palestinian terrorist who attempted the murder of her father in Jerusalem.  Laura revealed her personal struggle and process of discovery as she disguised, and at the same time unearthed, her own identity as a daughter, Jew, wife, journalist, and revenge-seeker.  Current parents, both new and veteran members of the JDPS-NC community, along with alumni parents, teachers, and administrators, gathered together in the warm and artistic home of board member Connie Krupin.  Together we not only learned about Laura’s incredible journey, but also explored the philosophical questions of right and wrong, good and evil, and the power of hope.  And we built community along the way.

Stay tuned for the next People of the Book Series event!  You won’t want to miss this unique gathering.
