About Us

Welcome to JPDS-NC, a place where academic excellence, Jewish tradition, strong values and a sense of community provide our students with an extraordinary educational experience. At JPDS-NC, we strive to nurture our students’ curiosity, cultivate their imagination and advance their initiative and critical-thinking skills in small classes based upon a rich, integrated curriculum of secular, Hebrew language and Jewish studies. We are passionately committed to instilling in our students a lifelong love of learning, an appreciation of their heritage and a solid moral foundation that will guide them throughout their lives.

By design, JPDS-NC is a small school, where the faculty knows each child and where we tailor teaching to maximize each child's individual potential through adaptive programming. At JPDS-NC, we nurture each child’s emotional, academic, physical and spiritual development. In all that we do, we teach the skills of inquiry and encourage the expression of different points of view.

JPDS-NC is a community day school that seeks to enhance and validate the Jewish practices and outlooks of our families, fostering a deep sense of mutual respect and pluralism. As we help to guide our students’ development as wise and compassionate Jews and American citizens, we convey a sense of responsibility to apply their creativity, education and moral values in their efforts to heal the world (tikkun olam).

We combine a rich Jewish tradition and wisdom with the most modern, research-based educational approaches to give our children roots and wings. Our students and alumni are a great source of pride as they leave JPDS-NC with self-confidence and thrive in outstanding middle schools, high schools and colleges.

Explore the halls of the school, spend time in classrooms, attend special programs, and you will see the warmth, mutual respect and enthusiasm for learning our students and faculty share. Please come to an open house or call us to arrange a visit. We would be happy to have you come see our academic community.

B’Shalom,

Naomi Reem
