Please include with each application, per child:
A non-refundable application fee of $70
A
screening fee of $80.
Make checks for $150 payable to JPDS-NC.

This should be given to your child's current teacher for completion. Please follow-up and make certain these forms are sent directly to JPDS-NC Admission Office, by January 31.
Official Records ( All Applicants)
All applicants must provide JPDS-NC copies of their child's school transcripts. Please give a copy of the JPDS-NC Transcript Release Form directly to your child's school. The school must mail the Transcript Release Form and student records directly to JPDS-NC, attention, Admission Office, by January 31.
Child's School Visit
Pre-kindergarten through Grade 1
We ask your child to visit with us in a small group/playdate-like session so that we can get to know your child. Your child will participate in a variety of age appropriate activities with JPDS-NC teachers and other school staff as well as one-on-one activities. During the visit, we will conduct an independent screening. The screening offers a view of your child’s learning style. For Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten, the sessions will be held on two Sundays in January.
As part of the screening process for first grade, your child will spend part of the a day in a kindergarten classroom as well as an independent screening. The admission office will contact you to set up a visiting day once your application is received by JPDS-NC.
Upon receipt of your completed application, a screening day and time will be set-up. Please note that missed screenings and play sessions will be rescheduled upon payment of an additional screening fee.
Second Through Sixth Grade Applicants:
Upon receipt of the completed application, a classroom visit in the applicant's current grade and screening will be arranged.
Tuition Assistance Application (optional)
If you will be applying for scholarship assistance, applications will be available in November. Tuition assistance materials are due to Private School Aid Service (PSAS) by February 5. Tutition assistance materials are due to JPDS-NC by February 18.
Admissions decision letters
Letters will be mailed to parents by March 15.
Tuition contract and deposit information
By April 1, please send your signed contract and the $1,000 tuition deposit to
JPDS-NC's Admission Office. (Tuition and activity fees are $20,495 for pre-kindergarten through sixth grade for the 2012-13 school year).
