JPDS-NC Afterschool
"JAS" at JPDS-NC
JPDS-NC offers an on-site after-school program called JAS (JPDS After School). Joanne Hurt of Wonders Childcare oversees the program and Paul Barrow is our site director. Our program includes homework time, snack, sports, arts and crafts, cooking projects, clubs, field trips, games, and much more! The hours are 3:30-6:30 Monday-Thursday and 2:15-6:00 Friday. You may sign up for as few as one day a week or as many as five days a week. Through this program, snow days and vacation day care will be available on-site or at a nearby location for those children who are registered. Please contact Paul Barrow at

Wonders Child Care believes children develop and learn through guided play in a nurturing and diverse community. Wonders Child Care is a nonprofit provider of accredited early childhood education, before/after school, and summer camp with flexible programs, for children ages two months through sixth grade with nine locations in Washington, DC and Maryland. "PEP" Classes at JPDS-NC
Primary Enrichment Program or "PEP" offers exciting extra-curricular courses for students. Some examples of classes include art, drama, karate, cooking, newspaper, sports, and yearbook. PEP is offered on Tuesday afternoons from 3:30pm-4:30pm. The bus runs after PEP on Tuesdays. Contact Miri Ploff, PEP Coordinator at jpdspep@jpds.org for more information. PEP registration forms are mailed out during the summer and classes fill up on a first-come, first-serve basis.
