Yitzhak Rabin Memorial Lecture
The Jewish Primary Day School of the Nation’s Capital (JPDS-NC) is an independent community school, and the only Jewish day school in Washington, DC. Its mission is to provide a strong foundation in Jewish and secular learning, laying the groundwork for its students to become knowledgeable, responsible Jews and citizens who are deeply committed to the community at large, to Jewish living and values, and to the people and the State of Israel.
JPDS-NC has become a critical institution in the nation’s capital, serving as a center for learning for young families, a gateway to Judaism, and a key contributor to the renaissance of Jewish life in the city. Ten years after the assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, the Jewish Primary Day School of the Nation's Capital proudly dedicated a new library commemorating Rabin's legacy. As part of its commitment to education in the community, JPDS-NC established the Rabin lecture series along with an expanded curriculum for JPDS-NC students.
JPDS-NC is proud that its Yitzhak Rabin Memorial Library serves as a focal point for teaching our students and the broader community about the State of Israel, Zionism, Rabin's life and legacy, themes of conflict resolution, and how a democratic society deals with internal disagreements.
We look forward to continuing to serve the Washington DC community for many years to come.
Our dedication of the Yitzhak Rabin Memorial Library was made possible by our generous supporters. Become a supporter of JPDS-NC today!
